Hi friends!
Well, we’ve come to the end of my Capsule Makeup Series. I really hope you guys have enjoyed all the looks I’ve shared with you throughout the month of March using the same six products in various different ways. And I hope it’s inspired even one person to test their creativity with makeup, and step out of their comfort zone with colors and textures. You don’t have to own a million and one products to create amazing looks!

For the 5th and final look in this series…wait for it…I got a winged eyeliner look for you guys! Yes, big news here. I actually created a wing with eyeshadow and a wet angled brush. I rarely, rarely attempt winged eyeliner because, well, I usually screw it up. So this really tested my patience and skills, but in the end I *think* it turned out pretty well (be kind!). I also wasn’t really sure at first about the combo of colors I used (green, warm brown & orange), but after everything was said and done I liked it a lot!

HOW I ACHIEVED THIS WINGED EYELINER LOOK
STEP ONE – EYES
I applied a small dab of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer on my eyelids as a primer, and blended it out with my fingers. I then applied Katsina, the matte warm brown shade from the Saharan Palette, all over lids with a big fluffy brush. I took the same color up above my crease, all the way up to the brow.
Then came the hard part! I wet a small angled brush and went in with the shimmery green shade Kia to start building my wing. (Tip: if you mix water with an eyeshadow you can create a texture that mimics an eyeliner.) I plotted it out by using the angle between my lower lash line and the outermost tip of my brow as a guide; I then stamped along that angle with my brush to draw the wing and then drew it back to connect with my upper lash line. I only took Kia halfway across my upper lash line (as opposed to the inner corner).

I then smudged Jamila, the bright matte orange shade, under my lower lash line for a stronger pop of color.
Lastly, I applied lots of the Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara to both my upper & lower lashes.
STEP TWO – FACE
(As an aside, I used the Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate all over my face as a primer to give my skin some hydration and slip.)
I applied the Radiant Creamy Concealer under my eyes, around my nose, and on my chin. I then blended out the product using patting and stippling motions with my fingers.

STEP THREE – CHEEKS
I gently rubbed the matte lipstick side of the Flower Beauty Mix n’ Matte Lip Duo in Honey Nude (a pinky nude) onto the back of my hand. I then stippled the product onto my cheeks with my fingers as I would with a cream blush.
STEP FOUR – BROWS
I ran the & Other Stories Eyebrow Gel (which is clear) through my brows to groom them and hold the hairs in place.
STEP FIVE – LIPS
I applied the pearlized gloss at the opposite end of the Flower Beauty duo all over my lips for a slightly shiny finish.
Voila! There’s my *humble* attempt at a winged eyeliner look using some contrasting pops of color. This eye look definitely took me the longest of them all, for obvious reasons; I’d say probably about 20 minutes, just to perfect the liner. Safe to say I probably won’t be doing that again for quite a while!
