First off, you may have noticed that things look a lot different around here now. I took a bit of a break at the end of February as my blog underwent a big design overhaul. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out, so I hope you like it too!
Now that I’m back in the swing of things, I’m so excited to announce my next series: my capsule makeup series! I originally got this idea from MUA @harrymakesitup. She did a YouTube series last year where she created different makeup looks using the same products. If you’re interested, I’ll link her playlist here.
SO WHAT IS THE CAPSULE MAKEUP SERIES EXACTLY?
I will create five unique makeup looks using the same six products, and share the results with you. I’m also hoping to post what I learned at the end of the series, along with any helpful tips and tricks I’ve picked up on the way. This will really test my creativity and adeptness at makeup, which I’m so ready for!
I decided to go with the following six product categories for this series: eyeshadow, mascara, brow gel, concealer, blush, and lipstick.
So I asked my followers on Instagram which products they wanted me to use for the series. I filmed a short 1 – minute video showing two product contenders for each respective category. It was simple majority rules, so the contender with the most votes was the product I chose.
(All the videos are up on my feed, so go check those out if you’d like! You can access my IG either at the top of your screen [in the pink banner], or at the bottom of the screen [in the image carousel].)
Without more delay, here are all the winning products that I’ll be using.
