Hi friends!
Welcome to the first installment of my capsule makeup series this month! Today I did a soft and easy everyday look to jump-start this 5-part series. If you missed my introduction post, I’ll link that for you here. Please make sure to check that out first. I explain the concept behind this series, plus there are pictures and swatches of all the products that I’ll be using to achieve the next five makeup looks.
To recap super quickly, here is a list of all the products I’ll be using throughout this series. And be sure to check out my new ‘Shop’ tab, where I’ve included buy links for most of these products! (Except the & Other Stories and Maybelline products.)
EYESHADOW
Juvia’s Place The Saharan Palette
MASCARA
Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara
BROW GEL
& Other Stories Eyebrow Gel
(I couldn’t find a link for this product online, so perhaps you can only get it in stores or it’s been discontinued. Not sure.)
CONCEALER
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
BLUSH
Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk
LIPSTICK
Flower Beauty Mix n’ Matte Lip Duo in Honey Nude
EASY EVERYDAY LOOK AND HOW I ACHIEVED IT
STEP ONE – EYES
I primed my eyes with the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, just taking a small little dab on each eye lid and blending out with my finger. I then picked up my Saharan Palette and blended the shade Katsina through my crease. I popped the shade Zoya all over my eye lid, and the shade Senegal under my lower lashes.
Lastly I applied the Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara on both my top and bottom lashes.
STEP TWO – FACE
(As an aside, I primed my skin with the Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate to give my dry skin some moisture and slip.)
I applied the Radiant Creamy Concealer in targeted areas where I need coverage. For me that’s under my eyes, around my nose and on my chin. I then blended it out using stamping and stippling motions with my fingers.

Circled shades indicate colors used in this look
STEP THREE – CHEEKS
I dabbed the Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk all over my cheeks and blended the color out with my fingers.
STEP FOUR – BROWS
I took the tiniest amount of the shade Katsina from the Saharan Palette and filled in some gaps in my brows with a small brow brush. I then took the & Other Stories Eyebrow Gel (which is clear) and ran it through my brows to groom and hold them in place.
STEP FIVE – LIPS
I applied the matte lipstick side from the Flower Beauty Mix n’ Matte Lip Duo on my lips and patted the color in.
Voila! What do you think of the look? Let me know in the comments!
The next look in the series will be coming next Monday, so keep your eyes peeled!
