NEW Launches from Lisa Eldridge are here! Lip Kits, Glosses & More Lipsticks!

Lisa Eldridge Velvet Muse Lip Kit

Hi friends!

Today we’re talking about new launches from Lisa Eldridge, my girl crush and MUA extraordinaire! I’ve covered all of Lisa’s previous launches here on the blog, which I’ve linked for you below in case you want to have a read. If you’re not familiar with her, Lisa is a world-renowned celebrity, red-carpet & editorial makeup artist who’s been in the biz for decades. She’s worked for some major brands over the years including Shiseido & Lancome, where she is currently the Creative Director. She was also one of the first professional makeup artists to use YouTube as a social platform, and that is how I discovered her years ago.

(Her YT tutorials are like unprescribed Xanax, so I seriously recommend giving one or two a watch when you want to wind down at the end of the day!)

Lisa initially launched her indie brand in late 2018 with the original True Velvet Lipstick collection, a tightly-edited group of just three red shades. She further grew the collection in 2019 with additional pinks and neutral shades, all of which very quickly sold out after pre-sale. That bring us to this new Holiday 2020 launch, and it’s a real doozy! There are four new shades of the coveted True Velvet Lipstick formula, a brand-new gloss formula called the Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss, and five Fantasy Floral Lip Kits featuring her first lip liner. It doesn’t stop there. Additionally, there’s a restock on all of the earlier True Velvet Lipstick shades, five Lisa-curated lip collections with three True Velvets packaged in a velvet pouch, plus an opportunity to curate your own collection (choose your three lipsticks, choose your pouch). Everything is available for pre-order on her website NOW, with all pre-orders shipping on October 19th. Worldwide shipping is available.

We’re going to focus on the new-new stuff in this post; so the new True Velvet shades, the glosses and the lip kits, specifically. I’ll take you through all the products, and then I’ll briefly discuss my thoughts. Let’s get into it!

THOUGHTS / OPINIONS ON THE NEW LAUNCHES FROM LISA ELDRIDGE

I’m probably – no, definitely – a bit biased here since I love Lisa so much, but everything seems very well thought-out and considered in this collection. It makes a lot of sense to branch out into lip glosses and lip pencils at this point, as it gives customers the opportunity to start playing around with different finishes. Does anything look particularly ground-breaking? No, but it’s all about the attention to detail, and the unique colors and textures that make her products so special. I snagged the True Velvet Lipstick in the shade Velvet Muse from last year’s launch, and I tell you the texture is really beautiful; the “matte but not flat” description is just spot-on. The pigment is super saturated and overall the product feels very well-made and luxe.

Will I buy anything from this new drop? Hmm, not sure at this point. I’m definitely intrigued by the Gloss Embrace Lip Glosses, particularly in the shades Beauty and Go Lightly. The formula sounds so incredibly nourishing, especially the way Lisa described it in her launch video. But since I’ve gotten a few new bits in recently, I feel like I should be a good girl and refrain this time. Ugh, boring I know, but you gotta draw the line somewhere!

What do you think about these new launches from Lisa Eldridge? Will you pick anything up? I’d love to know!

xo, and be well, Erica
