I’ve been quite vocal on here about my love and adoration for fashion & celebrity MUA Lisa Eldridge and everything she does. Her YouTube channel is so informative and a real “can’t miss.” Her Instagram is downright beautiful. Her 2018 matte red lipstick collection was a quick sell-out and totally drool-worthy. (P.S. it will be back in stock in just three weeks!) She is just the ultimate in prestige beauty.
Well if pink is your thing, then get ready! Lisa Eldridge’s new Summer Collection is here and it’s got all your pinky wants and desires covered! Just yesterday her eponymous makeup brand – an indie may I add – launched a tightly edited collection of four pink lipsticks, ranging in tone from rose to fuchsia. On a side note, Lisa mentioned in her YouTube video that there was supposed to be a fifth color in the range – a pink nude- but the texture she wanted wasn’t achieved during the production phase.
There are two specific textures in this collection, which Lisa calls ‘Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colour’ and ‘Insanely Saturated Lip Colour.’ Luxuriously Lucent is described as having a balm-like texture with slightly more cling and a luster or sheen. Insanely Saturated is described as giving ‘wow’ color with a demi-matte finish (or matte with a sheen); a one-swipe and you’re done kinda thing.
Now let’s take a look at the actual lipsticks. I’ll start with the two Luxuriously Lucent lipsticks (wow, say that two times quickly!), and then go into the Insanely Saturated lipsticks.

I’m sure these lipsticks have insanely top-notch quality, and given Lisa’s immense social media following they will probably sell out just like her first lipstick collection did. So if you’re interested, I’d get over to her site right away as it’s the only place you can buy these products!

For me, I feel I have so many lipsticks right now that I sadly can’t justify another purchase. BUT that being said, if I were to buy one of Lisa’s new lipsticks I’d definitely go for Love of My Life! I absolutely adore a mid-tone pink, and this one looks so flattering on every skin tone pictured.

I’ve got a bright pink and very creamy light nude from MAC I haven’t yet worn… im trying to be daring but I feel as though they need the perfect outfit, hair style etc to pull it off.

I don’t know why I’ve never heard of her before! These lipstick shades are so gorgeous and I think would work for a lot of people. Rainbow Spill is my favourite! x

I am loving Rainbow Spill, the bright watermelon pink. That shade is gorgeous and I love that it almost looks neon. Also, also, also, I love that the models all have different skin tones because the lipsticks look gorgeous on all of them AND yet one shade looks different. Still very flattering.
Rainbow Spill looks amazing! I totally recommend checking out Lisa and her channel – she’s a real makeup master! And I agree about showing the swatches on different skin tones; it’s really a must.

I feel like at this day in age, if you’re not catering to ALL skin tones, you should not even be making/have a makeup line lol. It needs to be INCLUSIVE of everyone.
