The Seamless Skin Collection from Lisa Eldridge is here!

Hi friends!

I haven’t done a dedicated launch post on here in a while – there’s just so many happening all the time – but whenever I hear that MUA extraordinaire-turned-beauty-entrepreneur Lisa Eldridge is going to drop a new collection, you know I’m all over it. I’ve covered all her previous collections since she launched her indie brand back in 2018; everything is linked directly below if you’re interested in seeing how the brand has evolved.

This new spring/summer 2021 Seamless Skin Collection is particularly exciting because it’s the first time we’re seeing complexion products from her. If you’ve watched any of Lisa’s YouTube videos, you’ll know she’s the queen of a flawless, yet still natural-looking base; so you know these products are going to be top-notch! The Elevated Glow Highlighter and the Enlivening Blush are the new-new products here, two makeup-skincare hybrids that offer both color and skin-nourishing ingredients to hydrate, firm and smooth the skin. If you watch Lisa’s collection overview video below (and I totally suggest you do), these are just the first two launches in a larger Seamless Skin Collection that I’m sure will one day include some coverage products.

In this post I’m going to focus on the blush and highlighter exclusively, but be aware that both the Gloss Embrace Lip Glosses are back in 4 new shades (with a complete restock on all previous shades), and the Luxuriously Lucent Lip Colours are back in an extended 7 new shades as well.

ELEVATED GLOW HIGHLIGHTER

 

 

A skincare hybrid formula packed with hydrating, elasticising, lifting and moisturising actives.

Elevated Glow Highlighter is designed to add a luminous glow to the skin whilst simultaneously delivering some serious skin benefits and a subtle lifting, tightening and smoothing effect.. An ingenious glow/skincare hybrid with subtle skin tightening and smoothing effect.

This Cruelty Free product is Vegan and free from Parabens, Talc, Fragrance, Nylon 12, D6 and D5.

Key Active Ingredients

FILMEXCEL® a brilliantly clever biopolymer network that forms a resistant and flexible mesh on the skin. 3 minutes after application the biopolymer sets delivering a subtle lifting, tightening and smoothing effect. It also acts as a natural barrier agains pollution and irritants in the atmosphere.

Tamarind Indica Seed
Traditionally used in ayurvedic medicine, tamarind seed has a high content of polysaccharides. It provides potent instant hydrating activity. Clinically, it has been shown to improve elasticity and have re-densifying skin properties.

Oat Kernel Extract
Renowned for its moisturising and softening properties, which provide anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and protective benefits.

Glycerin and Caprylyl Glycol
A great mix of water-loving ingredients that draw moisture into the skin (epidermis), keeping it strong, soft and supple. Although first discovered in the 18th Century, Glycerin is still considered the gold standard of moisturising ingredients and is the reference to which all humectants are compared.

ENLIVENING BLUSH

 

A hybrid formula with blurring and lifting skincare ingredients and packed with actives including, rosemary leaf extract, bilberry and raspberry seed oils.

A unique and innovative make-up/skincare hybrid formula suffused with blurring and lifting skincare ingredients. Non-greasy and non comodegenic, the super light cream blush is incredibly easy to apply and blend. You only need the tiniest amount to start building the desired intensity, all the while feeling comfortable and imparting dewy hydration. A translucent, natural, ‘skin-like’ finish that is neither too dewy or too matte.

KEY ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Rosemary leaf extract
Rosmarinic acid, one of the components in rosemary extract, has a calming effect on the skin. A good antioxidant. It also has anti-bacterial, astringent, and toning properties.

Bilberry seed oil
Soothes damaged skin and contains essential fatty acids that form a protective barrier. It also improves skin hydration and integrity. Extremely light and silky to touch, it helps the colour to melt into the skin seamlessly.

Raspberry seed oil
A natural oil with a high content of regenerating, and protecting components: alpha and gamma tocopherols (Vitamin E), vitamin A, omega-3 and omega-6 – which in combination provide superior antioxidant activity. Rich in alpha linolenic acid, gives the formula noticeable anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE SEAMLESS SKIN COLLECTION

Obviously I have not tried anything from this collection, but from watching Lisa’s videos and looking through her website, both products look absolutely gorgeous! If you’re familiar with her makeup line or if you already own some of her products from previous collections, you’ll know that every element from the packaging to the shades, textures and finishes is so well considered and engineered. I’m sure the Seamless Skin Collection will be no different.

That being said, I already own a lot of glow-giving products so I’m less attracted to the Elevated Glow Highlighter than I am to the Enlivening Blush. You all know just how much I adore blush and particularly cream blush. If you watch her blush-specific video above, you’ll see just how beautiful these shades are in real life and just how easily they apply and blend; like, literally within seconds. The shades Pink Soap and Mountain Walk are calling my name! But in all honesty, I have so many blushes in my collection already that I will likely refrain from picking anything up from this collection, at least for now. I’m sure I’ll change my mind during a future restock 😉
