Hi friends!
I love writing foundation reviews for you guys, so, as you can imagine, I’m super excited for today’s post. I was very, very kindly gifted the new Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint back in April after having a meeting with their PR. To be honest, I’d never been interested in any of the previous complexion launches from Fenty; everything just seemed too full coverage and just too full-on for my tastes. But since Eaze Drop is marketed as the brand’s first-ever tinted moisturizer-like, “no makeup-makeup” kind of base, I naturally was very intrigued and jumped at the chance to try it.
From what I can see, this must be *thee* base of the moment. The majority of shades are currently sold out on both Sephora.com and on the brand’s website, including my shade, 2, at the time of writing this post. So if you’re curious to try out this foundation and you’ve got those notifications turned on for when your shade is back in stock, I hope you’ll find the following review helpful.
Let’s dive in!

The Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint is a lightweight, yet buildable liquid foundation with a velvety-matte finish.
MY THOUGHTS ON PACKAGING
As I hope you can tell from the above images, this is quite a small (plastic) component that just about fits in the palm of my hand; so, very lightweight. The white cap twists off to reveal a little nib where the product dispenses. I really like this packaging, overall. I like how small and dinky it is – absolutely perfect if you want to travel with it – and I like how much control you have with it. You give it a good shake, and then gently squeeze to dispense the foundation. The product comes out slowly and carefully, drop by drop; it’s not some continuous stream that becomes messy and wasteful.

MY THOUGHTS ON APPLICATION
This has a slightly thick liquid texture that will run down your hand – albeit slowly – if you’re not careful. (If you’ve tried the ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint, or the Flower Beauty Get Real Serum Foundation, it’s thicker than both those textures.) I like to apply a drop and a half for my face at the most, and I just simply dab it all over and blend in with my clean fingers. It blends so seamlessly over almost any base or “primer” I’ve used, including my skincare (see this post for more on that), sunscreen, and glowy primers like the Glossier Futuredew. No bunching, pilling or patchiness at all, it’s lovely! I have not tried applying it on totally bare skin. Since I’m quite dry and dehydrated, I always use some kind of priming product to add hydration and slip to my skin before applying any foundation.
RATING: 5 / 5 ⭐️
MY THOUGHTS ON COVERAGE
To be honest, I think calling this a “skin tint” is a little bit of a misnomer. It’s become quite trendy in the beauty biz these days to bring out these sheer/light coverage “no makeup-makeup” products, so I think Fenty is jumping on that bandwagon here. To me, a “skin tint” offers nothing more than a light coverage at best, with a really dewy finish. The Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint is more of a very buildable light-to-medium coverage foundation, rather than what I’d personally consider a “skin tint.” I don’t have any problem with a coverage product that’s buildable, but I think there’s a bit of false advertising going on here.
That being said, you can apply this in a very sheer-to-light way if you so choose, which is why I prefer using just a drop and a half. I’ve tried building up more layers, and while additional product certainly adds more to the coverage level, I start to see the product a bit more on my skin than I’d like.
RATING: 4 / 5 ⭐️
- Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint in the shade 2, which is light with neutral undertones.
- Swatch partially blended into the back of my hand, showing the velvety-matte finish.
MY THOUGHTS ON FINISH
This is where this foundation gets really interesting. You’re left with a truly blurring, soft-focus effect when you blend it into the skin, which is very flattering. If you have problems with pores around the nose and cheeks, you’re probably going to love this for that reason alone. I’d definitely say this dries down to a velvety-matte finish, but if you layer it over a glossy base (again, like the Glossier Futuredew) you’ll see a bit of that dewiness through the foundation. But on its own, this has zero shine or dew.
RATING: 4 / 5 ⭐️
MY THOUGHTS ON WEAR
Top marks for longevity with this product. It really doesn’t move much, or smear, or wear down on me throughout the day but do keep in mind that: a) I have dry skin, and b) I use only a drop and half. For reference, I usually wear my bases for anywhere from 8 to 11 hours on any given day.
RATING: 5 / 5 ⭐️
MY THOUGHTS ON SHADE SELECTION
It’s Fenty so you know they’re going to offer tons of shades to choose from. The Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint comes in at 25 shades, which is awesome. There really is something for everyone, and they’re very good at including different undertones as well. I chose shade 2, which is described as “light with neutral undertones”; it’s perfect for me.
RATING: 5 / 5 ⭐️
- Bare-faced before application.
- After application of the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint in the shade 2. I used 1.5 drops along my T-zone and onto my cheeks to cover redness. No other coverage product was applied.
MY THOUGHTS ON PRICE
The Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint comes in at $29.50 for 32 ml of product, which sits squarely in what I often refer to as “mid-market” range. “Mid-market” to me is somewhere on the price scale between drugstore and really high-end luxury (i.e. about $20 to $40). Now, remember I didn’t pay for this; I was gifted it. But, typically I don’t mind spending that kind of cash on a foundation I really like and that suits me well. It’s a very personal decision though.
Can you get lightweight, buildable foundations at a drugstore price? Sure. But I don’t know if anything can fully dupe this product in terms of the overall blurring effect it leaves on the skin. You’ve got formulas like the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation out there that claim to blur skin imperfections, but I’ve never tried that to know how it stacks up against the Fenty. If you know of any potential low-cost dupes with a similar effect, please let us know in the comments!
RATING: 5 / 5 ⭐️
FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall, I’m really impressed by this foundation. While it’s not my most favorite finish – you know I adore my more dewy bases – this offers a little bit of variety in my collection, and I really like the blurring effect it gives my skin. It feels super lightweight and second-skin when I apply my preferred amount, and it lasts really well throughout the day without looking too dry. Just don’t expect a “skin tint” kinda effect here; you can get some decent coverage from this.
Have you tried the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint yet? If so, what did you think? I’d love to know!

Lovely review of this product, I would love to try some Fenty beauty!! x
Thanks so much for your kind words! This is only the second product I’ve tried from them, so I’m a bit of novice with their brand myself 😉.
Great review, very well thought out and considered! Glad this worked for you and the matte finish still gave your skin a nice effect 🙂
Thanks so much for your kind words! I’m surprised I like it as much as I do considering it doesn’t have a radiant finish, but I adore how lightweight and blendable it is!
This sounds lovely! I’d definitely give it a try!
It is really nice, and very customizable, which is great in a foundation!
Im overdue on trying Fenty products. Love this in depth review. I can tell you put a lot of thought into it!
This is only my second Fenty product, so don’t feel left behind! Thank you so much for reading and commenting!
