Hi friends!
I hope your August is going well. We’re in the true dog days of summer now! I took a little break from the blog last week to reset, but I’m back with lots of great drugstore beauty content for you this month, starting with today’s review. If you don’t already know, I loveeeee me some Milani. They are definitely a little more luxury with their prices than, say a Rimmel or a Wet n’ Wild, but their products have such good quality that I think it completely evens out. That being said, for some reason I don’t have much from them in my current collection. A few weeks back I crossed paths with a display for the Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blushes and I knew I had to snatch one! I mentioned them in my What’s New at the Drugstore post from way back in January (wow, life was so different then eh?), so they were definitely on my radar ever since. I picked up the shade Rose Romance, which I’ve been very happily testing out ever since.
Let’s dive in with the review!

MY THOUGHTS ON PACKAGING
This is a little squeeze tube that’s super lightweight and easy to throw into your handbag or travel bag. It’s very simple: you just squeeze the tube and the product comes out of a thin nozzle (think Flower Beauty Blush Bomb). I love the ombre effect on the packaging that shows the color too.
The only thing I will say is it’s probably best to store this with the cap facing upwards, instead of laying it on its side. The product is quite liquid so it just tends to seep out of the nozzle otherwise, which is a bit of a bummer. I’ve only had this a few weeks and already it’s gotten a little messy inside the cap.

MY THOUGHTS ON APPLICATION
This is super, super easy to apply. As I said before the texture is quite liquid – it’s not like straight-up water though, don’t misunderstand – so I find it just glides across my cheeks. I squeeze a small dab onto the back of my hand, and just stipple and tap it into my skin with a finger; it works a treat! There’s no skipping, tugging or patchiness, and you do get a decent amount of playtime until it starts to set down. I do think a little goes a long way with this formula, but that being said, if you work in thin layers you certainly can build it up.
RATING: 5 / 5 ⭐️
MY THOUGHTS ON COLOR / PIGMENTATION
This formula has very concentrated color, again quite similar to the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb. You don’t have to use a ton to see an effect on your skin, so I would recommend working slowly with it. But I have to say, in moments where I felt like I went overboard, I just keep working the product with the warmth of my fingers and it sheers out beautifully! I love how forgiving and workable it is.
I have the shade Rose Romance, which is…you guessed it…a beautiful dusty rose shade! It really pops against my fair skin, which is exactly what I want from my blush. My motto with blush is, if I’m bothering to apply it, I wanna see it! This is one of 6 shades that range from nude (which was completely sold out in the display I saw), all the way to deep berry.

MY THOUGHTS ON PRICE
The Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush retails for just $9.99. It’s certainly not the cheapest blush at the drugstore, but for a high-quality, high-performing liquid/cream blush it’s an absolute steal! It’s very difficult to find quality cream blushes at the drugstore, so I consider this a big coup!

FINAL THOUGHTS
If you’re looking for an affordable, high-quality and easy-to-use cream blush, this is thee one. Although I absolutely love the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb, I believe Milani is a bit more accessible for most people (in the U.S. anyway); so for that reason I would recommend it more. I’m so happy that the drugstore has finally started to catch up with quality cream blushes!
Have you tried the Milani Cheek Kiss Liquid Blushes yet? What are your favorite drugstore cream blushes? I’d love to know!
xo, and be well, Erica
PIN IT!
OMG that shade is gorgeous! I need to pick it up soon!
It is! You do! 😉
What a beautiful color! It looks great with your skin tone.
Thanks Michelle! I’m really enjoying it!
I think it looks absolutely beautiful on you! The swatch was alarming when I initially saw it but seeing it on you and knowing it is* forgiving makes me feel so much better lol.
I’ll have to look more into their products, I haven’t really gotten the chance to
Thank you! It’s such a forgiving formula and super easy to use, so if you see the display around I totally recommend.
I haven’t been to the beauty section of my drugstore in months, lol. My last haul was a little over a month ago and I do not plan on buying anything unless i need it, for a while LOL
Good for you! I seem to only shop for beauty at the drugstore these days – it’s just too tempting!
