Hi friends!
I’m sure you guys know by now that a) I’m a cream blush lover till the end of time, and b) I pretty much think ILIA Beauty is the bee’s knees. (Where did that saying come from anyway? Do bees have knees??) Their products are not only beautiful but they are high-performing and well-designed. I’ve done a bunch of posts either reviewing or highlighting some of my favorite products from them, which I’ll link below.
Just recently I realized that I have both of the ILIA cream blushes in my collection – the Multi-Stick and Color Haze Multi-Use Pigment – and that I hadn’t yet talked about them on here. Unacceptable. I’m remedying that now. But instead of a post simply describing each formula, I thought I’d do a shopping guide kinda thing. I’ve included quick product info on format, texture, finish, things like that, but I’ve also included both domestic and international shopping links. The brand does international shipping from their website, but I’m sure it comes with a hefty fee of taxes and duties depending on where you are. So if you’re overseas you’ll have to decide what’s really worth it or not.
And for those of you who find these things important: ILIA is considered a natural or “clean” beauty brand that’s 100% cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified. A number of their products are also vegan, but not all. Check their Ingredient FAQ section for a full list of vegan products.

ILIA BEAUTY COLOR HAZE MULTI-USE PIGMENT
What it is: A creamy pigment for lip and cheek that can build in intensity or blend out to a soft wash of color.
How it works: A unique, cleanly formulated cream based formula for cheeks and lip that can build in color intensity, or blend out to a soft wash of color. Dries down to a natural matte finish on lips. Choose your level of color payoff by dialing up the intensity with a few bold swipes or blend out for a soft haze of color.

This is a formula where more is more. One thin layer will fade about halfway through the day; so I build up about 2 to 3 thin layers and the color lasts until I take my makeup off after about 10 hours.

MY THOUGHTS
The Color Haze is a great formula if you like to build your cream blush up slowly as you can get different effects depending on how much you apply. One layer for a light wash (it might not last long though), or add more for a healthy punch of color that has more longevity. I like the thick cream texture as it feels moisturizing on the skin, but note that it doesn’t completely set especially if you build up the layers. The skin retains the slightest bit of tackiness.
I don’t use the metal applicator here, so that feature doesn’t matter to me at all. I tend to squeeze out a small dab onto the back of my hand, and tap the product onto my cheeks with my fingers. It blends out very easily, so no complaints there. I have tried using it as a lipstick, and while the formula is (somewhat) moisturizing and lightweight, I find it doesn’t last long on the lips. I much prefer to use it strictly as a cream blush, but in a pinch you could certainly apply it to your lips as well.
The brand GIFTED me the shade Temptation, which is a beautiful warm pinky coral that pops in a very lovely way against my cool-toned pale skin.

ILIA BEAUTY MULTI-STICK
What it is: A creamy, on-the-go formula for a soft wash of color on your cheek and lip.
How it works: Seamlessly blends into lips and cheeks thanks to a soft, buttery texture that instantly melts upon contact. An easy-wearing and incredibly versatile formula, our Multi-Sticks warm up and flatter a range of skin tones, adding a pretty, fresh finish to the complexion. Apply with your fingertips or a densely packed brush for a natural, skin-texture finish.

MY THOUGHTS
I loveeee the Multi-Stick! It’s gotta be my favorite of the two blush formulas that ILIA currently offers. It’s become interchangeable in my collection with my beloved RMS Beauty lip2cheek (if you read my post on that little gem, you’ll know how much I love that one). Very similar texture and finish on the skin, and the longevity is awesome. I’d argue that the Multi-Stick is more balmy than creamy, so the finish is very healthy and radiant.
Even though it’s in a stick format, I tend not to use the Multi-Stick in that way. I prefer to rub my (clean) finger against the product and, like with the Color Haze, just simply tap and blend it across my cheeks. It blends effortlessly over freshly applied foundation or even a bit of powder. There’s no need to build up the color with this one; the pigment is pronounced from the first application. I have also used it separately on my lips, and it has a very moisturizing, balmy texture. So, again, you could certainly use it as a quick lippy when needed, but I still prefer to use it exclusively on my cheeks.
I bought the shade Lady Bird earlier this year from Sephora, which is a perfect neutral rose with hints of pink and brown. Totally gorgeous and could suit so many people.

Have you tried any of the ILIA cream blushes? Which do you think you’d prefer? I’d love to know!
xo, and be well, Erica
PIN IT!
The multi-use pigment sounds so good, I like a matte finish in a blush and I’m loving creams at the moment
It’s a solid cream formula, and if you prefer a matte finish I’d definitely recommend over the Multi-Stick.
I haven’t tried these but I really love the color of Lady Bird. It looks really good with your skin color!
Thank you! I absolutely adore the shade; it’s just so “me” 😉.
based on finish alone, i’d go for the multi-stick, and i love that it easily blends into the skin even with foundation on
do you use powder foundation by any chance? i wonder how that would apply on top of powders…
love the shade you got for the multi-stick too by the way, simply gorgeous!! they both look great on you!
Thank you Rossy! Lady Bird is a divine shade, and the Multi-Stick formula is awesome. I don’t use powder foundations but I have blended it over powder bronzer and had no issue at all (just using my fingers).
okay awesome i’ll be sure to keep it in mind ;D
Do you prefer RMS Lip to Cheek blush or the Ilia Multi Stick? I have tried both but the RMS was the wrong color. I prefer a dewy look but I’ve notice the Ilia does not stay on long.
Honestly they’re interchangeable to me as I find the textures so incredibly similar. Perhaps the RMS is a teeny bit more balmy than the ILIA, but they both give me a really dewy finish. I’ve tried two colors of the RMS formula and by far my favorite is Spell, which is a neutral rose shade.
