Hi friends!
I recently discovered a new beautifully luxe makeup brand on Instagram that seems to be right up my alley. Roen Beauty launched this spring with a small edit of creamy & sparkly eyeshadow offerings that can either be worn alone or layered with other products. It was founded by celebrity makeup artist Nikki DeRoest, who is also the Global Makeup Artist for Bare Minerals. Check her out on YouTube or Instagram; she’s got that L.A. cool girl vibe going on for sure.
As is the case now with all digital-first brands born in the age of social media, Roen Beauty ticks all the millienial-shopper boxes. They’re clean (still not completely sure what this means beyond the obvious), gluten-free, cruelty-free & 100% vegan. But they’re also luxury, as you’ll see from the prices listed below.
Obsessively designed by an artist, made for you.

If you know me, you know I loveee cream textures that I can use with my fingers, so Roen’s products are very intriguing to me. I’m really attracted to the 52° Cool Eye Shadow Palette and the Disco Eye Sparkle, specifically. Will I actually purchase them though? Not sure. Everything seems pricey for what they are, but I’m really tempted. I mean, look at that visual again for the Disco Eye Sparkle! How gorgeous is that?!
If you’re interested in more info, there are two videos I’ll place here that should be helpful. The first is with Nikki DeRoest herself, and the second is with Mariah Leonard (who I’ve recently become obsessed with on YouTube). They obviously have very different perspectives, but that is what you need when researching products to buy.
Have you heard of Roen Beauty before? Will you be purchasing anything from their line-up? I’d love to know!
xo, Erica
PIN IT!
I’ve never heard of this brand! I love the warm colors. And the packaging is so feminine!! The packaging alone would make me want it! 🙂
I know, right? The packaging looks gorgeous, and I think all the compacts have those magnetic closures that are so pleasing!
Do the eyeshadows set after they are applied?? If they do I am in for that cool eyeshadow palette and maybe even the warm one ! 😍
Hmm, not completely sure. In Mariah Leonard’s video she said they creased on her. But everyone’s experience is different. I would definitely use a primer with these just in case.
Erica the fact that it is for all skin color and day and night is very appealing because I quit putting make up on when I leave for work as sometimes it gets awful when it stays all day long…I love how you always present we researched beauty items. Great review as always and I like that you supported it with video as well.
Thanks so much Bushra!
I love the sparkle!
Me too! 😉
Thank you for always keeping me up-to-date with all the new brands popping up, Erica! I love how they named their eyeshadow palettes by temperature– that was so clever but I don’t like how they advertise their brush as the best way to apply it because it seems like you HAVE to buy the $30 brush, y’know? I don’t like using my fingers on my face so I feel out of options lol.
It’s my pleasure! Yea, true, I hear you about the brush. I never listen to brands when they say that honestly, but after I watched a few YouTubers try to apply these with regular fluffy brushes they all seemed to complain they weren’t getting much payoff. If this is a special formula, which the brand boasts it is, then perhaps their brush is the best way to go? Don’t know for sure though, since I haven’t tried any of these.
