Hi friends!
As you can probably tell from the title, today I wanted to shine a little spotlight on the five products I’m loving right at this moment. You may *think* that every piece is makeup, but no I actually do have some variety here! A little skincare, a beauty tool, and of course some makeup. So without a lot of waffling on, let’s dive right into the list! (These are listed in no particular order, by the way.)
CERAVE DAILY MOISTURIZING LOTION
If you read my last post about confidence boosting makeup, you’ll know that the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion has been getting me through my latest eczema flare-up. It doesn’t treat eczema per se, but its gentle, non-fragranced, hyaluronic acid-rich formula certainly won’t further irritate it. (It’s got the seal of approval from the National Eczema Association after all.) I have sung the praises of this gem a few times in recent posts, so I won’t go on for too long but I’m seriously considering switching my whole skincare routine over to this one brand. It’s simple, it’s hydrating, it’s engineered by dermatologists, and for me at least, there’s little chance of getting irritated by something.

ADESIGN PROFESSIONAL BLUSH BRUSH
I also briefly mentioned this in my last post on confidence boosting makeup, but I never really thought I’d fall so head over heels in love with a brush! I always, always applied my base with my fingers for years and years but recently I picked up the aDesign Professional Blush Brush and gave it a go. I’ve actually had this brush in my collection for a while, but just never experimented with it until now. Lemme tell you, it’s wonderful! It’s a soft-bristled, fairly densely packed brush that picks up and blends cream textures very gently. It gives quite a natural, yet flawless finish with no brush marks. I also think it brings out the best coverage possible from the bases that I use, which tend to be low coverage tinted moisturizers.
NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM IN ABU DHABI
I couldn’t not include this one in my list of the five products I’m loving because I’ve been wearing this lippy from NYX non-stop for the past week. If you’re over those really long-wearing and drying liquid lipsticks, you gotta try these Soft Matte Lip Creams. They have the look and finish of a matte liquid lipstick but the texture is soft and mousse-like. They come in a wide array of colors, but I particularly love Abu Dhabi which is mid-tone peachy beige. If you want to see a pic of me wearing it, check out this post. The only caveat with them is that they don’t last very long; one decent meal and it’ll be gone. So it’s a bit of trade-off that you’ll have to consider. But that doesn’t bother me in slightest, I’d rather have the comfort!
NYX CONTROL FREAK BROW GEL
I dedicated a whole post to this brow gem last year after I initially discovered it. If you’re a low-maintenance brow girl (or boy) like me, and just want to use one product that will both groom and hold them in place, you must try the NYX Control Freak Brow Gel! It’s a clear gel with a rather large brush that you could also use to keep flyaway hairs in place. I like to apply one coat to each brow, let it dry for about 30 seconds, and then go in with a second coat. It completely sets the brows in place and they barely move throughout the day!
BRONZER (IN GENERAL)
This last one is more of a product category than one particular product, so let me take my liberties! I’ve been having a bit of a love affair with bronzer in recent weeks as the weather has been getting warmer here. I love the warmth and dimension it gives my face, and I’m slowly trying to figure out what tone suits my fair skin best. I’m not going to talk much here about my current collection or my favorites because bronzer is going to be my content focus for June. So there will be lots of bronzer talk coming your way very shortly!
What products are you loving right now? I’d love to know!
xo, and be well, Erica
PIN IT!
I need to try the brow gel, I’m using gimme brow but I’m almost out of it and there’s no way I’ll spend that much (this was a mini I got in the advent calendar I think) but I like tinted one, I know this one is clear but does it come in colors too? (pretty sure that’s not the correct way to say the question, it doesn’t sound right XD)
I’ve used Gimme Brow before; it’s good but way too expensive for what it is in my opinion. I believe this formula only comes in clear, but I know NYX also does a tinted brow gel. I don’t think the formula holds as well as this one though. I like the L’Oreal Brow Stylist Boost & Set, which holds and comes in a few colors. The Elf Wow Brow is also great too if you can get your hands on it.
I’d love to try that lip cream. I like that color, too! And I really need to get a bigger bottle of the CeraVe. I got a travel size to try it after reading your post and I love it!
The NYX lippy is sooo nice and lightweight! So glad you discovered the CeraVe and love it. I will never not have it in my house – I actually have two large bottles right now!
Haven’t tried any of these but they sound amazing Erica 🙂
They are! Thanks so much for reading and commenting ❤️
