If you read my last post you’ll know that I’ve been loving a bit of bronzer these days. For many years I was absolutely terrified of the stuff. As a pale-skinned, cool-undertoned girl I was convinced every bronzer would make me look like a muddy-orange Oompa Loompa. But just like with lip gloss, it took one good product to start to change my mind. After years of hearing rave reviews about the iconic Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer, I finally picked it a few years ago and fell in love. It was perfect for me – the tone, the finish, everything. Who would have thunk it?? So over time I’ve become more curious and perhaps a little more bold in my experimentation. From warm-toned to more neutral-toned, from powders to creams, my bronzer collection has widened and become more diverse.
Throughout the month of June, I’ll be sharing my current collection with you and talking about some beautiful bronzers for summer from brands like Lancôme, Fenty Beauty, Lune + Aster, Ilia Beauty, and of course Physician’s Formula. So make sure you come back every Monday for a new post in this series! First up next week will be my darker, warm-toned bronzers from Lancôme and Fenty.

What are some beautiful bronzers for summer in your collection? I’d love to know!
xo, and be well, Erica
I seriously need to pick up Butter Bronzer again!
It is probably still my favorite bronzer in my collection!
I think I’ve already told you, mine broke a couple of years ago and I’ve never repurchased it, I don’t even know why ahahah
It’s very easy to get distracted by new/other things, especially with beauty!
I look forward to this! I’ve always been afraid of bronzers for the same reason! 😂😂
Yay! You’d be surprised how much variation is out there, so I bet you can find the right one for you. You just have to search!
My favourite bronzer is the honey bronzer in the shade 01 from The Body Shop, it is a matte bronzer but it doesn’t look orange or muddy and doesn’t make the skin look too matte. I actually purchased a shimmery bronzer I’ve had my eye on for a while today, Max Factor’s Creme Bronzer in 05 Light Gold 🙂
I’ve heard great things about that Body Shop bronzer over the years, especially how it’s good for light skin tones. I don’t experiment as much as I should with makeup from The Body Shop! I don’t mind a little shimmer in my bronzer, but just not anything over the top. I so want to try more cream bronzers now! I’ve heard the Max Factor cream blushes are very good, so I assume their bronzers are too.
It is such a lovely bronzer and even though it’s matte it doesn’t make skin look dry. I haven’t tried a lot of makeup from The Body Shop either but I love their body moisturisers and lotions 😍 I’d be interested to try a cream bronzer too, I love cream blushes!
Creams are just the best 😉😊.
I have never tried a bronzer!
Start with the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer then! It’s beautiful yet subtle.
