Hi friends!
Let’s talk a bit of skincare today. If you read my earlier post about my current skincare routine, you’d know that I’ve been using the Fresh Rose Hydrating Eye Gel Cream. Well my pot ran out right when the Glossier Bubblewrap Eye Cream launched late last month. Great timing, I’d say! Since I’m such a sucker for Glossier’s marketing I couldn’t help but put in an order.

Bubblewrap is the brand’s first eye cream, but it also happens to be a 2-in-1 kinda product for both the under-eyes and the lips. Full disclosure: I haven’t ever used this cream on my lips. I personally just don’t see a need to, especially now as the weather is getting warmer. I’d rather save all the hydration for under my eyes.
Let’s look at the product info and claims.
An ultra-hydrating eye and lip cream.
Bubblewrap’s power comes from a combination of some of nature’s strongest hydrators(hyaluronic acid, squalane, avocado oil), antioxidant-rich blueberry extract, and a unique, featherweight texture that delivers these key ingredients where and when you need them the most. The result? Undereyes and lips appear fresh, smooth, and hydrated: today, and over time. Plus, the light-as-silk, water-in-oil emulsion doesn’t feel sticky or pill under makeup.
Hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, ophthalmologist-tested, safe for contact lens wearers, safe for sensitive eyes, paraben free, cruelty free, vegan.
So what do I think of the Glossier Bubblewrap Eye Cream? For reference, I’ve been using this product for about two weeks now.
I feel like this is the perfect eye cream for a beginner or someone who’s just getting into skincare at a young age. It’s quite a thin consistency that’s very easy to pat & absorb into the skin. But if you’re in need of a real hydration kick, or if you want anti-aging ingredients, this is definitely not the eye cream for you. It’s just another example of Glossier staying firmly in the millennial/Gen Z camp with their product offerings.
I generally use this at night with the rest of my skincare, but it’s definitely light enough to use during the day or right before makeup. I like this eye cream, but I’m certainly not in love with it by any means. It does leave my skin feeling hydrated and a bit smoother than normal, but it’s so thin that I’m not sure its effects last that long (at least on me).

I have pretty dry skin so I’m usually looking for something a bit more robust in the hydration department. I think this is fine for use in the spring/summer months when my skin generally is not as parched, but perhaps not so much in the cooler months. I’ll definitely finish out my tube, but likely will not repurchase. It’s $26.00 for 22 ml of product, so I’d say it’s definitely more mid-market in terms of price.

Have you tried Glossier Bubblewrap Eye Cream yet? If so, what did you think? I’d love to know!
FYI – I’m taking a little break from the blog next week to focus on a work project, so I’ll see you here back in June with more content! Have a lovely holiday weekend ❤️.

Great review! I like thicker eye creams, too. Have a nice break!
Thanks so much! ❤️
Enjoy your week off from blogging.
Thanks Diane! ❤️
Enjoy your week off Ericka.
Thanks lovely lady! ❤️
Hmm…while their products might be great and this one’s products sound amazing, I cant help but to criticize it a bit for only marketing to a younger crowd. Idk. I personally dont prefer thick or lighter eye creams but I do love it when eye creams are hydrating. That’s important to me, so I guess this one has that going lol.
Anyway great review and have an amazing week off!
Thanks girl! I totally agree, Glossier up until now only markets to millennials and Gen Z’ers, full stop. But I hope that since they’re now starting to expand their business and create new sub-brands, that they’ll start creating products for people over the age of 35-40. That’s a huge part of the makeup buying community that often gets overlooked, sadly.
This cream is definitely hydrating, but it’s just not heavy-duty enough for me and my skin needs. I think it’s a great product to use during the day though when you don’t want to overload your skin with thicker creams.
It’s true you know! Skincare for mature skin definitely is way overlooked in my opinion, that really needs to change. I know so many people already in their 30s who STILL love beauty so MUCH! Everyone should have the right to feel beauty and their skincare needs should be met just as much as the younger crowd.
I’m with you, I’d want something more hydrating, especially in the winter. This past winter was pretty bad for me, I even had dry eyelids it was the weirdest thing ever!
I’m told by like every makeup artist or beauty salesperson that my eyelids are incredibly dry. And this is even after I moisturize sometimes! I can’t win. But I have to tell myself that a lot of these people are trying to sell me products 🤔😒.
I also have dry skin and always look for thick creams to take care of things. I would probably also opt for something thicker than this, but it might be nice in the humidity of summer 🙂
Yea it’s definitely a nice, thinner cream that’s suitable for this time of year when you don’t want to weigh your skin down with heavy creams! I just don’t see myself repurchasing it.
My skin is more dry in the winter and more oily in the summer so I have to really watch what I put on my face unfortunately. Have a nice break and good luck with your project! 😀
Thanks Michelle! I’ll be stuck in a huge convention center for most of the week 😳. But we gotta do what we gotta do!
Ooo a Glossier product!! Man, I just love their packaging. It does sound more suitable for a younger person but I’m curious what it would do for your lips!
They get an A+ for packaging for sure! I think it’s supposed to smooth and/or plump your lips, but the idea of lip plumping has always scared me. Call me crazy, I know!
Have you ever tried a Mary Kay eye cream?
I have not. Do I need to? 😉
I mean, I think you do 😉
Ha, OK! Do you have a recommendation?
I use the TimeWise Age Minimize 3D eye cream and love it, but there’s other eye creams available too. If you go to my blog and go to the store link page you can check it out there ☺️
Oh cool, thanks for the rec!
Of course!
