Hi! I’m Erica, a makeup enthusiast based outside of NYC. I discovered my love of cosmetics back in 2011 when I started watching simple tutorials on YouTube. It was a revelation to me that with just a simple few swipes of mascara or dabs of blush, you could transform into a more enhanced version of yourself. My obsession has not abated over the years, but instead has grown stronger as the beauty industry has gone from strength to strength. After graduating from business school in 2018, I decided to finally share my thoughts and opinions on all things cosmetics and this is where ‘We are glamerus’ was born. I share my musings on a bi-weekly basis on everything from my holy grail products and preferred application techniques, to the latest trends overtaking the beauty world. I hope you enjoy! xo

  1. Great review! I like the cake one the best. The color is very pretty. I have the same dry lip issue. I have found that with a lot of my lipsticks if I apply a balm first the color lasts longer.

    1. Sometimes I apply Cake on its own and it’s find without a more hydrating base, but other times I apply a little something over top that’s more moisturizing. It really depends on badly my lips are chapped on any given day!

  2. Erica, I brought the mascara by this company and love it. I will have to try the lipstick next. Thank you.

  3. Definitely struggle with the dry lips in our household! Both are good colors for you and I am surprised at how much more sheer they are when put on vs how they look in the tubes.

    1. Yes, they are quite sheer but buildable, which I think is very cool since it’s customizable. Just wish they were more nourishing!
