Hi friends!

Skincare lovers and aficionados out there – perk up, this one is for you! All throughout March I’m bringing you a series of indie skincare reviews on goodies like cleansers, high-performing moisturizers, and even skincare-makeup hybrid products. I tend to focus more on makeup on this blog, but I really want to step outside my comfort zone and talk about some really interesting skin items that recently came into my collection. And bonus: when I took stock of the bits I wanted to discuss this month, I realized they were all from indie brands, so hooray! Who doesn’t love a good indie brand?

Now, just a disclaimer: I am in no way a skincare expert, nor am I certified in anything. Good skincare is science – or at least it should be. I think the deep-diving and technical-jargoning is best kept to the professionals. I’m a consumer just like you, so I tend to talk about skincare in the simplest of terms which anyone can understand. How does the product feel when it comes out of the bottle or container? How does it feel when applied to my skin? Does it feel hydrating and plush? Do I think it has lasting effects over time? I often ask myself these kinds of questions when I’m using a new product in my routine.

Another thing to keep in mind – all the products I usually test are geared towards drier, more dehydrated skin because that’s what I have.

So make sure to come back every Friday this month for some indie skincare reviews, featuring brands like Peter Thomas Roth, Ilia Beauty and Wander Beauty. But in the meantime, don’t miss my latest skincare routine post where I bring you step-by-step through what I do and the products I use every night before bed.

xo, Erica
