Blogger Rewind 2018! My favorite WP posts from this year

Hi friends!

I’ve been on WordPress (WP) for about 8 months now, and as you would think I’ve read a lot of blog posts. From beauty, to lifestyle & DIY, to travel, to cooking, and inspirational & wellbeing blogs. I like to keep my Reader feed both varied & dynamic. There’s a wonderfully diverse group of talent here on this platform, which is informative & inspiring to me. So as the end of 2018 rapidly approaches, I’d like to give back a little love & recognition to those bloggers & to those blog posts that I particularly enjoyed this year.

So forget YouTube Rewind, let’s have the Blogger Rewind! (Sorry, I couldn’t help it!) I hope you enjoy and that you discover some new bloggers in the process! Please make sure to go check them out, and give them some love ❤️.

Author: Erica

Hi! I’m Erica, a makeup enthusiast based outside of NYC. I discovered my love of cosmetics back in 2011 when I started watching simple tutorials on YouTube. It was a revelation to me that with just a simple few swipes of mascara or dabs of blush, you could transform into a more enhanced version of yourself. My obsession has not abated over the years, but instead has grown stronger as the beauty industry has gone from strength to strength. After graduating from business school in 2018, I decided to finally share my thoughts and opinions on all things cosmetics and this is where ‘We are glamerus’ was born. I share my musings on a bi-weekly basis on everything from my holy grail products and preferred application techniques, to the latest trends overtaking the beauty world. I hope you enjoy! xo

  1. Erica, it is a neat idea to share other bloggers and promote them. I love most of the blogs you have mentioned in your post. I am so proud of you. You are growing and glowing. Improving each day even more. I pray for your success. BTW I posted my post about “How to make Pinterest images using Canva”. I know you are waiting for that. I am back blogging but still will take it slow.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words Bushra, and for your inspiration & support throughout this year! I’m so glad blogging brought us together! I can’t wait to see what you do next with your blog in 2019; you’ve grown so much in such a short amount of time, which is a testament to your hard work & creativity. Oh, thanks, I will definitely go check out your Canva post! I’m still not very confident with my Pinterest graphics.

      1. Erica the feelings are mutual. You are one of my first followers who supported me in the beginning. I am so happy for you. I am blessed to have met you here. Don’t be afraid and the tutorial is in so much detailed. Even then ask me for help or question you may have. You won’t see me in wordpress feed anymore but I totally can see all of you.

      2. Yes, I remember when you first started the blogger hangout group! We were a very small group, and it grew so quickly! Oh, I just had a really quick look at your Canva post and it looks a-maz-ing! So detailed. I need to read it much more carefully, and I’ll let you know my feedback! 😉

      3. Please do and subscribe I am giving away 5 custom made pins according to the site brand as well. I worked hard on this post. This is my first SEO compatible post where I got all green signal. Yes. It’s growing and I am glad that we don’t have cheesy people. We have real people in our group who really want to support each other. Will be waiting for your feed back!

      4. I read the post and left you a comment with some questions! Are you understanding SEO better these days? I still feel like a novice. I use the Yoast Plug-In but I’m not sure I’m using it right/understand what it tells me!

      5. I did it first time and I got them all right but it took me 4 days to optimize one post. But I was slow at canva in the start as well. If you need any help or question let me know. I am learning each day and in a few months I will be much better. It’s too much. I am going to only post once a week becasue I have to correct all previous posts according to SEO. I dould like to creat quality work so I think being slow is okay. Don’t be scared to ask. We can always talk in our group or message me on fb or email me.

  2. Hey, I totally forgot to say you “Thank you”. That’s was kinda not nice of me. I love your kindness. I am also blessed to have met you via blogging. I think one day we should go to Haven blogging conference together…I love how you go to those beauty places. I wish there is something here in Portland for lifestyle bloggers.

  3. Aw thank you so much ❤️ Super happy you enjoyed the post on colours and their psychological effect. I love this list of yours, can’t wait to dive deep into your favourite posts and get to know other amazing bloggers 👨‍💻👩‍💻 Thanks for keeping us glamerous! 😘

  4. Thank you so much for linking to me and all these other amazing bloggers! It’s such a great way for everyone to connect and also discover other blogs. I love Polished & Inspired’s Thursday Chats series. It’s always very thoughtful.

    1. No problem! Love your blog style and your writer’s voice, so it was a no-brainer 😉. I love discovering new blogs on the platform, and when others make lists like this I find it super helpful.

    1. Thanks so much for your support this year Michelle! Likewise! I’m so impressed by your crafts and wish I was better with my hands and my imagination to be creative on that level like you are. 😘

    1. Thanks so much for your kind words Kaya, and for supporting the blog this year! I so enjoy reading your posts. I’m trying to get caught up with all your blogmas posts, but I’ll make it there!

  5. what a cool thing to do!! 🙂 i like to post blogger’s links as well at the end of the month to support my fellow friends and bloggers.. so up until now I didn’t know anyone else did it 🙂 this is also the perfect way to connect with other bloggers and find new blogs to follow 🙂 happy holidays! xx
